CSAHU 2010 Annual Symposium – “Change and Success-Moving Forward Together”

“ClinicNET strengthens Colorado’s health care safety net by empowering organizations that serve vulnerable populations. ClinicNet has Community-funded Safety Net Clinics (CSNCs) and Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) that provide primary health care services to low-income, uninsured and underinsured Coloradans. ClinicNET is committed to enhancing the capacity of these clinics to serve medically vulnerable Coloradans and provides a centralized voice for these critical safety net providers.” (From their website)
At the request of ClinicNet, CSAHU will be collecting the following items (please also note the monetary value for each item to accumulate to this contest per item unless otherwise noted):
First Aid and Medical Supplies
Large band aids - $4/box
Exam Gloves (all sizes) - $6/box
Children’s band aids for after immunizations - $2.00/box
Fitness
Pedometers - $15
Divided/Portion Plates - $5
Oral Health
Small tubes of toothpaste (we use for school dental screenings) - $1
Toothbrushes – adult & youth - $2
Dental Floss - $1
All Other
Books for all ages - $2 used; $5 new
Pens - $0.50
Chip clips or magnet clips, magnets - $0.50
Calendars - $8
Paper towels & tissue - $0.50 per roll
Sunscreen (summer outreach events) - $5/small; $8 for medium; $10 for large
Insect Repellant (summer outreach events) - $2
Feminine hygiene products - $5/box
Will you be named the individual that promotes the most wellness for Colorado’s uninsured children and adolescents?
Individual, Chapter, Carrier/GA Prizes will be awarded at the Symposium
Individual Prizes
“Win” – 1st Place; must reach at least $250.00 in supplies. The winner will receive a one-night stay for two and dinner for two at the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel and a $100.00 giftcard for dinner for two (Thank you Rocky Mountain Health Plans!)
“Place” – 2nd Place; runner up to 1st will receive a voucher for golf for two at Inverness (Thank you Kaiser Permanente!)
“Show” – 3rd Place; runner up to 2nd will receive a $50.00 for dinner (Thank you Ascent Benefits Company!)
Chapter Award
Due to total membership differences between chapters, the following goals will apply to receive the award for the winning chapter:
- MDAHU = $1000.00
- SCAHU = $750.00
- NCAHU = $750.00
- FRAHU = $500.00
- WRAHU = $500.00
Carrier & GA Award
Carrier & GA winner must reach at least $1,000 in supplies to receive the award. There will be one GA and one Carrier winner.
